My Passion...
I am Andrew.. In the late 1990's I picked up the camera and it changed my life. Since then I have dedicated myself to capturing the beauty in the world around me. The human form is my passion, and this site is where I share it with you. Welcome!
A new set of photos of Theresa posted on Voyeurweb today (3/19). They are a continuation of the grey day a couple weeks ago when I took these photos of Theresa in her home. Visit the Amateurs with Sites section of Voyeurweb and look for “Theresa - Grey Skies 2”, posted on Wed 19 March.
A new set of photos posted on Voyeurweb today (3/17). When visiting Elizabeth’s and her husband’s home, I noticed these recessed areas in their entrance way. They must be getting used to me because they did not laugh when I told them I had an idea. Instead they invited Godiva, her man and me to dinner. The result was Goddesses in Recess. Visit the Amateurs with Sites section of Voyeurweb and look for “Godiva & Elizabeth - Goddesses In Recess”, posted on Mon 17 March.
A new set of photos posted on Voyeurweb today (3/13). A longtime friend of mine became pregnant. It was her first child and she wanted me to take photos of this special time. She arrived for photographs with a friend who also happened to be pregnant. When I started taking photos her friend thought it was wonderful and asked if she could pose for me as well. Visit the Amateurs with Sites section of Voyeurweb and look for “Sisters in Motherhood”, posted on Wed 13 March.
A new set of photos of Godiva posted on Voyeurweb today (3/10). Godiva found a secluded spot for us to take photos several months ago when it was warm and sunny. I thought the sunlight seemed to just kiss her body. She is lovely inside and out. Visit the Amateurs with Sites section of Voyeurweb and look for “Godiva - Kissed by Sunlight”, posted on Mon 10 March.
A new set of photos of Theresa posted on Voyeurweb today (3/6). It was a grey day a couple weeks ago when I took these photos of Theresa in her home. I think these photos reflect some of the feel of that day, as well as the pure beauty that is Theresa. Visit the Amateurs with Sites section of Voyeurweb and look for “Theresa - Grey Skies”, posted on Thu 6 March.
We are in the middle of a snowstorm here in Cincinnati, Ohio. It has snowed most of the day and is supposed to continue through the night and into Saturday. Total accumulation predicted to be 15 inches. You can see a few of the shots I took of the snow today here http://flickr.com/photos/artisticlight/sets/72157 [...]
I don’t even know where to begin. The world around me is full of contrasts. The gap between rich and poor continues to increase. There is beauty everywhere and plenty of ugliness if you wish to look. I always thought that Heaven and Hell had the same address, it was a matter of what you wanted to see. So far my [...]
I just got back from an amazing presentation held at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The presentation was given by Gregory Crewdson a photographer best known for his elaborately choreographed photographs that frame mystery in everyday life.
It was inspirational. His work is fantastic. That said, it is not the type o [...]
Okay… It has been awhile, but I’m ready to pick my journal back up.
I also just setup a flickr account and I’m testing writing this entry from flickr and linking it to this photo. I took it at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert a couple days after Christmas 2007. Their concerts are just amazing and I recommend [...]
I had never been to Mexico, and Oaxaca (wa’haka), Mexico is a place I did not know. If you had shown me the name in writing I would not have properly pronounced it. A series of events resulted in good fortune and my trip to this land.
One of my friends is Martha. She is the head of Anthropology at the University [...]
Death is such a hard thing. It forces us to look at our own mortality and take measure of our life. These feelings have filled me today since attending a Memorial Mass for a close friend this morning. I say ’close’ though I had not seen her for almost 20 years, yet she and her whole family are an intrinsic part [...]
